  • It has become quite a trend recently for various television personalities to release new singles into the music world. Last week, Glee star Lea Michele released her new single “Cannonball.” This week, it is High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale’s turn to debut her new song “You’re Always Here.” This brings Tisdale out of a “musical break,” since she has not released any new songs to the public since her last musical project in 2009 with “Guilty Pleasures.”

Ashley Tisdale is a well-known actress and singer from West Deal, New Jersey. She is mostly known for her role as Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical movie series. Tisdale is also known for role as Maddie Fitzpatrick in the Disney channel’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Tisdale has also become very involved within the pop music industry with albums “Head Strong” (2007) and “Guilty Pleasures” (2009).

Today (Monday, December 16th, 2013), Tisdale announced the release of her new single “You’re Always Here” on Twitter. According to MTV, the single was a collaboration between her and her fiancé Christopher French (who Tisdale got engaged to earlier this year). French’s involvement with the newly released single was on the production end.

The background of the song is what helps the song give a more personal edge. “You’re Still Here,” according to MTV, was written about and dedicated to her grandfather Arnold, who she also mentioned on Twitter (below).

“You’re Always Here” is now available for download on iTunes. Fans of Tisdale’s new release can also preview the song and view a behind-the-scenes peak into it on her Facebook page (shown below).
