Apollo Nida Will Still Have To Deal With The Feds After Prison

By: Val Powell - July 14, 2014

Apollo Nida, husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud. According to recent reports, the federal government will be keeping an eye on Nida after he serves his eight-year sentence.

Based on court documents, Nida will have to complete 100 hours of community service after his release. He also needs to cut his ties with all convicted felons and stay clear of places where alcohol and drugs are sold illegally. Furthermore, he is banned from carrying firearms and other weapons. He will also have to go to alcohol and drug treatment programs that he will need to pay for with his own money.

Apollo Nida’s sentence discussed

The final probationary rule set for Nida is that he has to pay $150 monthly in restitution. He will also be subjected to random audits, and he will have to disclose all his finances to the authorities.

Amidst all this, Parks is keeping herself busy and staying positive. She was not present during her husband’s sentencing. Kandi Burruss, Parks’ co-star in Real Housewives of Atlanta, said that her friend is doing a good job coping with everything that is happening around her.

Kandi Burruss talks about how Phaedra Parks is coping

“She’s basically working. That’s how I deal with things too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work. I know that she’s promoting her book and doing the book tour and stuff like that and she’s not really trying to focus as much on what’s happening,” Burruss said.

Parks is busy promoting her book Secrets Of The Southern Belle: How To Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, And Never Have An Off Moment.

There were also reports that Parks and Nida are having marital problems. Many are wondering if the couple’s relationship will survive while Nida serves his time. Parks is reportedly also concerned about her two sons Ayden and Dylan growing up without their father.

Well, her husband wasn’t thinking of her and of his 2 boys when he broke the law, was he? I feel sorry for her and the boys, but I don’t feel one bit sorry for him. He knew he was doing wrong, but he chose to do it, anyway. Who knows what will happen to the relationship in 8 years? If he’s very lucky, he’ll still have a wife when he gets out. A lot can happen in 8 years. The article doesn’t say what he did for a living, and I don’t watch the show, so I have no idea. No amount of money is ever worth doing anything illegal. No amount of money will bring back those 8 years where he’s going to have a miserable life behind bars. Very poor choices on his part, and now, not just he, but his innocent wife and his 2 innocent children have to suffer without him.

it clearly states what he did in the first two sentences!!! wow….read an article before you comment on it it….def and ultimate king troll move!!!!

Colston, EmeraldEyes1 said that she/he didn’t know what Apollo did FOR A LIVING, not what he did to get in trouble. SMH!

He claimed his job was “asset recovery” (repo man?) But in reality he was running a check-stealing scam to the tune of $2.3 million dollars.

I do believe that Phaedra will have quite a bit to keep her busy while her husband is away. Pre-nups are GREAT, aren’t they? Luckily Apollo wasn’t able to get his greedy little hands on what she needs to sustain her family. The Funeral home business that SHE HAS INVESTED IN WILL BE JUST WHAT SHE NEEDS TO KEEP HER SATISFIED, Nada had a good woman beside him, but he just didn’t care enough about her and his two sons to be an honorable man. His lost. If he gets out and finds that his wife gave up on him, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Phaedra’s gonna be with Mr. Willie!!! LOL.

She knew what the hell he was doing and can’t nobody convince me otherwise. You don’t be married to someone as long as she was and NOT know what the hell they are doing to bring in money. I only feel something for those boys. Other than that, keep it moving.

I agree. She is just as greedy as he was

His fraud was less, than the Giudice’s. Why is he going to serve more time, than both of them combined. No one is talking about his children. I think Teresa Giudice should serve time too.

    • Theresa Henderson

he has not had his trial yet, also different jurisdictions

      • Sick_Pleasure

There will be no trial, he pled guilty before a judge after cutting a plea deal with the prosecutor in exchange for snitching.

    • Colston Ballew

because he’s already been convicted of the exact crime and served prison time for it once before!!!!

    • nono

He a tad darker shade of tan.

    • tytampa

Teresa has never been convicted of a crime such as this one twice. Apollo is a repeated offender. This isn’t his first time around the law… what saving the Giudice is they never been in trouble with the feds before.

Do not feel sorry for him, of course he will not be done with the law. He is a felon, once he is out he will no doubt be placed on probation. He will most likely not serve the 8years perhaps 5 with good behavior. Ms. Parks will move on and care for her family, I don’t see her pretending to be a loving and supportive wife anymore. The cat is out of the bag and she is done with his side-way self.

The only ones I feel sorry for is the victims. It will be years of straightening out their credit and accounts that were affected by this greedy monster. Apollo and Parks are two of a kind. They love money and dont care how they get it. I guess she wasn’t smart enough to stay away from a p.o.s.

    • nono

I agree with you. Having been a victim of ID theft it’s the worst thing that’s ever happen to me. No matter what you do or what documents you have to prove what happen, there are those who will not believe you. You can never completely get you credit history back, it’s a black hole. I have no sympathy for greedy thieves.

She is and attorney and knowingly married an ex-con. This is not his first prison trip. He doesn’t want to live by the rules. She picked the wrong good looking guy, he was looking for a free easy life and she wasn’t as easy as he thought. Hope she learns from her mistake, good looks don’t mean a thing, it’s what’s under the skin, integrity, honesty ,character , etc….

“dont do the crime if you can’t do the time.” baretta’s theme song.

  • theladymagic

Its seems a lot of people don’t understand the Phaedra and Apollo time line. They where dating when he went to prison the 2nd time. She waited for his release and then married him. You can not tell me any woman let alone a lawyer did not know what her raggedy butt husband was doing. While I don’t know if she was an active part of his crimes, I do know she knew he didn’t have any honest skills that would have had him that flush. And she knew who and what she married.
