Angry Birds Space Announced For March 22

One of the world’s most popular games is getting its first proper sequel.

Rovio announced via its Web site, Angry Birds Space. Not much is known about the game yet besides that it takes place in outer space and it’s launching on March 22.

It does give us the tagline, “One small fling for a bird, one quantum leap for birdkind.”

I was never the biggest fan of Angry Birds, but I like the new design. If they can provide more gameplay to augment the flinging birds out of a slingshot, I’ll be on board with the rest of the populace.
