Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will star together on the big screen in November for the first time since starring in Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005.

By the Sea hits U.S. theaters on November 13th, and follows former dancer Vanessa (Angelina Jolie) and her husband Roland (Brad Pitt), an American writer, as they travel the countryside together. The two are growing apart, and lingering in the seaside town draws them close to some of its inhabitants.

Angelina Jolie recently said that filming By the Sea allowed the couple a bit of a honeymoon. She also admitted that their marriage isn't always perfect.

"Brad and I have our issues, but if the characters were even remotely close to our problems we couldn't have made the film," she says in the November issue of Vogue.

Angelina Jolie covers the issue. Inside its pages, readers are treated not just to her interview, but of photos of her with Brad Pitt and their six children.

"As artists we wanted something that took us out of our comfort zones," Jolie says of By the Sea. "Just being raw actors. It's not the safest idea. But life is short."

In addition to starring in the film, Angelina both wrote and directed it.
