Actress Amanda Bynes, who went from child star to gracing the silver screen in comedies like “What A Girl Wants” and “Easy A”, was arrested in L.A. this morning on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Bynes was driving near Santa Monica Blvd. when she tried to pass a deputy and hit the rear of his car. After being pulled over, she was booked for driving under the influence. Bail was set at $5,000.

The actress made headlines in 2010, when she announced she would be retiring from acting at the age of 24.
