Halle Berry Engaged After Swearing Off Marriage

Actress Halle Berry is set to marry Frenchman Olivier Martinez–who proposed earlier this year–despite saying she would never marry again.

The Oscar-winning actress hasn’t had the best track record with men; her first marriage to Yankees slugger David Justice lasted just four years, after which she became involved with Eric Benet. After two years of marriage, the couple split amid rumors that Benet was seeking counseling for sex addiction. A relationship with Gabriel Aubry led to her first child, 4-year old Nahla, and Berry says that Martinez is a perfect father figure, which probably played a big role in her decision.

Berry acknowledges that she announced she wouldn’t be getting married ever again, saying, “Never say never, people!”
