Netflix Gets ‘Happy Valley’ In U.S. And Canada

Netflix announced today that it is about to start offering exclusive streaming access to hit BBC drama Happy Valley in the U.S. and Canada.

Here’s the canned statement they’ve been tossing around from content acquisition VP Elizabeth Bradley:

“We’re proud to add this highly lauded, masterfully crafted and brilliantly acted British series to the exclusive offerings Netflix viewers in the US and Canada can enjoy. Already recognized as one of the top dramas of 2014, Happy Valley, is sure to keep our viewers on the edge of their seats.”

All six episodes of Season 1 will be available on August 20th. The day before that, they’ll be adding From Dusk Till Dawn in the U.S.
