  • If you’ve been wondering what Method Man has been up to recently, all you need to do is watch the video below. Apparently, he’s been creating a music video for Capcom’s upcoming game World Gone Sour. Capcom isn’t developing the game, but is handling the publishing duties. A game which features the sour and sweet snacks known as the Sour Patch Kids.

A small downloadable, junk food related video game isn’t generally something to get excited about but there’s so many quirks involved with this release it can’t help but be noticed. The game will come bundled with the video above, so you’ll be able to play it on your console of choice. If Method Man’s video isn’t enough to sell you, then how about if the game was to be narrated by Creed Bratton, better known as ‘Creed’ from NBC’s The Office? It boggles the mind.

Here’s additional information concerning the game from an official Capcom press release, which looks to release soon for the PC, “Gamers will take on the miniature role of a lost Sour Patch Kid in a stylized human-sized world, guiding the hero through the sticky floors of a movie theater, across the counter of a concession stand, and other unique and oversized environments. Joining forces with fellow lost Sour Patch Kids, players will use a combination of jumps, twists and puzzle-solving to negotiate and overcome larger than life obstacles. Along the way, they will battle unusual candy enemies, escape from deranged humans, and face-off against bizarre creatures including one very angry wad of sticky chewing gum.

Players will be able to team up with one friend for local co-op play. The console version will include support for global leaderboards, as well as Microsoft Achievements or PlayStation® trophies. World Gone Sour will be available this winter for $4.99 on PC and this spring on PlayStation®Network for $4.99 and on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 400 Microsoft Points.

The journey of the Sour Patch Kids will include additional star personality with cheeky narrations by actor Creed Bratton (“The Office”), who will provide snack-sized quips and tidbits throughout the game.

Whoever came up with these ideas is a marketing genius. With so many elite level video games coming out recently, trying to get a title noticed is tough goings. Nothing like a little help from Method Man and creepy Creed to provide the push necessary to help sell some copies. The video alone is almost worth the price of admission.
