Groupon CEO Andrew Mason is not very happy with the state of sandwich shops. More specifically, he’s not very happy about their mayonaise policies.
The quirky executive took to Twitter today to rant about the issue (hat tip to Forbes).
I am about to my first multipart twitter rant, even though as I sit here about to embark I realize I am acting emotionally and may regret
It. The topic is sandwich stores that put mayonnaise on all or most of their sandwiches by default – it makes no sense. Even if you like
Mayonnaise I would think you would prefer to have it on te side so you can admit yourself – will make the bread less soggy. Sandwich stores
Would lose exactly zero sales by requiring mayonnaise lovers to manually apply their mayonnaise and they would attract a lot of new
Customers who would otherwise be really interested I. Their sandwiches. This is an especially annoying issue in the uk which seems to be
Going through a sort of sandwich store renaissance period but its completely off limits to those of us who don’t like mayonnaise.
One can only help but wonder if any of Groupon’s restaurant customers are guilty.
