The company that’s said to have turned down a $6 billion acquisition offer from Google has now lured an important employee away from the second-biggest name in search.  Michael Shim, Vice President of Mobile Business Development and Partnerships at Yahoo, will soon start at Groupon.

Shim’s resume is quite impressive.  After graduating from Georgetown University and Cornell Law School, he worked for a time as a corporate lawyer.  Then he collected some paychecks from AOL before starting at Yahoo in 2006.

As for what he’ll do at Groupon, Ina Fried reported, "Shim, who has helped Yahoo in its partnerships with mobile carriers and cellphone makers, will head up mobile partnership efforts at Groupon."

Also, to be a little more specific, Fried wrote, "Shim will be . . . working alongside Mihir Shah, Groupon’s VP of mobile."

Raymond Stern will take over Shim’s duties at Yahoo in the meantime.  Stern started at Yahoo in late 2009 and holds the title "Senior Vice president of North America Partnerships and Business Development."

This incident is bound to represent a bit of a sore spot for Yahoo, since it’s had enough trouble losing employees to Google and Facebook without Groupon getting in on the action.

What’s funny is all of them are Indian Providers, only JoomABC.com is Chinese provider. Indians really know how to make money from Internet and they are good at SEO.

The lowest price I found is only $89 and the highest is $2000+, but the average price is around $300. Of course I will not choose the most expensive one and the cheapest one. Then I check their reviews, and agriya’s review is really not good, so it’s the first one out from my list.

Then I tried to call them, they all have USA numbers, I called them at EST 10pm and only two providers received my call, they are: Wroupon.com and JoomABC.com. After I sent my quotations to all of them through emails, the second day I checked my gmail, the result tells me, the Chinese work the hardest, they picked up my call and reply me in the shortest time. That really add some credibility to them. So I decided to go with JoomABC and ask for the detailed pricing. They quote me $299+$129 for full codes and customized design, I thought it’s a good price but I hold them for one week, and to see if there are any other offers. I received 2 mails from comclone.com and bestgrouponclone.com later, but their offers have more additional fees compare to JoomABC, and they send several mails to push me to pay. At the same time JoomABC, they just asked me if there’s any question and not push me. I felt comfortable with their patient. At last I paid the money and they really deliver my work in 3 days as they promised, include weekends. For the customer service they have half an hour online meeting with me and teach me how to use Joomla. That’s really helpful.

From this experience I have some thoughts:
    1. Sometimes, the price is not a big deal, the most important is the customer service.
    2. The China grow up very fast for reasons.
    3. Online shopping is not bad, but it takes time to find the right team to work with.
