Yahoo has introduced new search features with an emphasis on helping users access  entertainment and news content in a more streamlined fashion.

Yahoo has added slideshows above search results for topics on its Trending Now lists, an app for Netflix members to add DVDs to their queue directly from the search results page and shortcuts for entertainment related topics that include images, articles, videos, tweets, event listings and ratings.

Yahoo has improved its image search by offering slideshows with public photos from Flickr and public Facebook albums for users  who sign in and connect their Yahoo accounts to Facebook.

Lastly, Yahoo has improved its mobile search for Android and iPhone users by offering better search results via HTML5 technology.

“Our goal is to understand what people care about and to make it fun for them to explore the most personally relevant, interesting, and informative content so that they can get things done faster and stay in the know,” said Shashi Seth, senior vice president, Yahoo! Search and Marketplaces.

  2. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this subject to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
