The iOS 4.1 update slowed my wife’s 3G to a standstill. Cold molasses are faster than the 3G on iOS 4 and 4.1. It was so slow that Apple replaced the phone. Even so, updating to this OS is a nightmare.

Apple and AT&T are grossly missing the boat. As a die hard Apple loyalist it pains me to say this. Apple on AT&T… YOU ARE FIRED! I am so pissed. I am going to buy dare I say, Droids tomorrow morning! Please Apple, salvage this and bring the coveted iPhone 4 to Verizon. You are getting your bell rung by Google and you have a far superior product. Why do you settle for a sub-par network? You are better than this.

The battery looks get drained sooner, and the already bad signal strength is still more bad. Always show one bar less which was one bar more on my 4.0

4.0 was horrible. I pretty much could not use the phone at all, but 4.1 brought some relief to the problem. However, I am hoping that 4.2 will fix the performance problem for good.
