As announced by Jimmy Wales, via Twitter, the Wikipedia SOPA / PIPA blackout is now live. For the next 24 hours when you visit Wikipedia.com you’re greeted with the following image:

The message that comes with the image states:“For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could fatally damage the free and open internet. For 24 hours, to raise awareness, we are blacking out Wikipedia. Learn more.”

Upon entering your zip code, you see:

    Just save the page to your desktop and open it from there… you’ll have the requested content. LOL!!!

      I mean when you get the blackout Wikipedia page, just use your browser’s Save Page feature. Then open the saved file. Voila!
