Wikipedia Ends Their SOPA / PIPA Blackout

It’s been a cold and lonely place on the Internet over the past 24 hours. Wikipedia was in full blackout mode as they protested both SOPA / PIPA.

Well my friends, the blackout is over. The world is right again, as Wikipedia is back to normal operations. If cup your hand to you ear you may hear the joyous cheers of students everywhere.

When you visit Wikipedia.org now, it’s as if nothing ever happened. You won’t even find a mention of SOPA or PIPA anywhere on the page. This is a stark difference as to what the site was displaying starting in the early morning hours of January 18th. Below you can see what the site looked like during the blackout:
