eBay And Delta Partner On Free Wi-Fi Syndicate content

eBay has partnered with Delta Airlines to offer passengers free Gogo Inflight Internet service on all Wi-Fi equipped flights from November 24-30. Delta says its has 260 Wi-Fi enabled airplanes flying more than 1,000 flights each day, and during the Thanksgiving promotion it expects more than 1 million customers will access the service.

Egypt Applies For First International Domain Name Syndicate content

Egypt said Monday it is applying to use Arabic characters for the first time in its entire Internet domain name. The move by Egypt comes as the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) formally opens the process allowing countries to apply for "internationalized" domain names or IDNs, where scripts such as Arabic or Chinese will be used in the last part of an address name.

A bundle including home delivery of the Sunday Globe along with 7-day access to the Globe Reader is offered at the same price.

The majority (80%) of emails sent with coupons received higher open rates and transaction rates than non-coupon campaigns, according to a new report from Experian Marketing Services. Seventy percent of coupons-using households get their coupons from newspapers. However, the Internet is a growing coupon resource. Over the last three years, the number of households that get their coupons online has increased by 46 percent.

Churchill Downs Inc. (CDI), home of the Kentucky Derby, has agreed to buy online horse wagering firm Youbet.com in a cash-and- stock deal valued at $126.8 million. The deal would give Churchill Downs over $700 million worth of the $1.4 billion online horse wagering market. Churchill Downs already owns online horse betting site TwinSpires.com.

Fox Launches iPhone DVD Trivia App Syndicate content

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has launched an iPhone and computer application called FoxPop, aimed at offering users a more interactive experience while they watch DVDs or Blu-ray Disc.
