A new control now makes it easy to share on Facebook with friends, and friends of friends or everyone in one click. The settings are immediately applied and displayed in a grid. Users will be able to customize their settings to control their level of sharing. The settings will now appear on a single page.

The number indicates continued strong growth, because just in September, Facebook announced that it has surpassed 300 million. It should be noted that back in January Facebook only had 150 million users… feels kind of funny saying only 150 million.

In a blog post, founder Mark Zuckerberg reflects on the last five years. "Facebook was founded in 2004 to give people the tools to engage and understand the world around them. We are glad and humbled that so many people are using Facebook in this way."
