Journalism Online Signs Up 1000 Affiliates Syndicate content

Journalism Online, a venture aimed at generating revenue for news publishers by charging readers for online content, has announced it now has more than 1,000 affiliates who have signed on to its platform. Journalism Online co-founder Steven Brill said that the results of a recent study released by the American Press Institute, found that nearly 60 percent of American newspapers are "actively considering" initiating some form of paid access for their online content.

Journalism Online, the start-up that plans to monetize newspapers websites by charging readers for content, has announced that more than 500 publications have signed onto to its platform, which is slated to launch in the fall.

New Venture Hopes To Make Newspapers Money Online Syndicate content

Three veteran media executives have partnered to launch a company with the goal of helping struggling U.S. news papers and other traditional media make money online by charging readers for content. Journalism Online says it " will quickly facilitate the ability of newspaper, a magazine and online publishers to realize revenue from the digital distribution of the original journalism they produce."
