Federated Media Acquires Semantic Tagging, SEO Platform from TextDigger

Federated Media announced today that it has acquired a technology suite and platform for semantic and linguistic profiling of web-based content from San Jose startup TextDigger.

FM says TextDigger’s technology complements its own platform with semantic solutions for content tagging, filtering and clustering, that can help the company enhance the user experience, ad targeting, and semantic SEO for a site or network of sites.

BingTweets Brings Bing, Twitter Together

Earlier this month, Bing began to return certain celebrities’ most recent tweets on its main results pages.  Now, a side project has taken the real-time search integration much further, with BingTweets turning up all sorts of Twitter-related info together with a more standard set of search results.

BingTweets, which is in beta, is a result of a partnership between Bing, Federated Media, and Twitter.  The most interesting thing about it is that users can see a constantly-growing list of tweets in which their query term features.

Update: ExecTweets is not the only thing Twitter is advertising. You can also see other ads for things like TwitterVision, Tweetie, etc. in the little box that previously only advertised Twitter services. Everything still looks to be at least Twitter-related at this point. And from the sound of it, they’re not making a money off of it.
