Nice try. Google needs not only regulated but broken up already. Regulate search like a public utility. Unfortunately it’s Google’s own fault. The abuse has got to stop. They destroyed my business. They deindexed my website with no recourse after enjoying good rankings for over a decade.

  2. Google Search Engine number one in the world, but it is very difficult to get traffic from google

  3. I think the FTC should regulate Google, not search in general. It’s not Bing or Yahoo that’s using anti-competitive practices in the way Google is. Basically SEMPO is a very good idea to protect the freedom of the internet, the free market, and innovation, etc., and so by trying to regulate search in general you’re going to get all the search engines up in arms about it all, as well as most of the public (at least the publisher side of the internet). So if the FTC simply goes after Google, then the other search engines won’t jump to the defense of search as it’s not search that would be regulated, it would be Google. It would be like if you found out your friend was a serial killer, you’d want to distance yourself from that friend. Who cares if you both belong to the same user group or club.

  4. Google will have to be regulated. So will facebook.

Google promotes itself, creates a ceiling for small businesses by manipulating search results and more.

facebook has problems of it’s own. Worse than google’s.

    There are laws being broken.
