Guess what? Roger Ebert is right. The man killed a friend, himself, and could have killed others. He screwed up. It’s sad he died but his judgment was appalling. Thank goodness nobody in another car got killed. Glad someone had the ballz to say it

we all know it is wrong to drink and drive.. but sometimes it is better to keep our opinions to ourselves when it ends in death. Especially not even 24 hours later. It is sad that he killed himself and a friend… but dont run your mouth about drinking and driving because I am sure you have done it too. And anyone who has a slam against ryan dunn is probably a hypocrit… the poor guy died isnt that enough.

Why? it’s when the ‘trauma’ is fresh that you must prevent this type of comportment. If you just said “it’s a mistake to drink and drive” when nothing special happens it’s not the same impact than when someone you care or you know died.

Roger Ebert is right to make the point at this right moment.

Considering that it is far too soon to know what amount of alcohol, if any, was in Ryan’s blood,it is far too early to criticize the recently deceased for alleged drunk driving

Drunk or not, two people are dead.. there is no time to make a point or a joke on anything this tragic. Would Roger Ebert like it if someone makes a point out of his cancer and says maybe all those big fat cigars he puffed caused it! Too many people say hurtful Shit and it needs to stop.

Both Dunn and Ebert are “Public Figures” they put themselves out there willingly. So when someone speaks out they have every right, it goes with the territory.

So a jackass died doing what jackesses do. Since when is the truth a reason to censure a voice in this ” forum of free speech” with sincere sympathy to friends and family, let’s stop being hypocrites.
