Netflix had a lot to say at the recent AWS Re:invent conference. The company released its presentations on YouTube. The company takes on: embracing the cloud, its encoding transformation, architecture, Cassandra database optimization on AWS, data science with Elastic MapReduce, security, how Netflix operates clouds, and optimizing costs with AWS.

This is the order in which the talks took place.

    Netflix has a lot of gut praising Amazon who will soon be in direct competition with them with their very own Movie Streaming Service. I have used AWS and have to admit that it really cool. I have grown to appreciate and admire amazon which started as a bookstore and have now become one of the largest software companies in the world. Shows that successful companies are always innovating.

    Anyways, here are a series of posts on Cassandra which may help readers understand it.
