  1. Basically since Google isn’t going to regulate itself, it’s time for the regulators to step in. It’s never good when they do for any company, but Google has had a long time to deal with ad fraud and has been spending more time dealing with publisher fraud of their 3rd party Adsense publishers. They were for a long time more interested in protecting their advertisers from fraud, but somehow forgot about that advertisers commit fraud too and consumers need to be protected (or at least warned). It’s ironic how print ads of the same nature have disclaimers and yet online don’t seem to have the same requirements. All that is about to change.

  2. Google should never have published these ads, but its executives turned a blind eye to these fraudsters for far too long because of the substantial revenue such advertising generates,
