  1. This is one of those things where I think webmaster tools can help, that is if Google even tells us our sites are being impacted by the ABF (above the fold) algorithm. If Google wants to really be helpful instead of hurtful they would give warning to publishers through webmaster tools that the site is being impacted by the ABF Algorithm. Most sites use a general template and so at the very least if one or more pages have been impacted there should be a warning issued.

    would making a fluid design help so more content is above the fold. i know my site is 960px wide but now on wider screens it seems to small so making it fluid where it stretches across the screen, i can now see more content above the fold. not sure if that would help or not
