  • Pearltrees is now available on the iPhone. Having launched in 2009, it’s been available for the desktop and the iPad for some time, but now it’s come to the even more popular iOS device.

“Today, Pearltrees launched its iPhone app in the Apple app store, allowing mobile users to transport their entire digital libraries with them on the go,” a spokesperson tells WebProNews. “The iPhone app provides new features, including the ability to upload and organize your own photos, personal notes, reminders as well as the ability to view libraries even when your phone has little to no signal.”

“Pearltrees bestows users with a smarter way to organize and cultivate everything they find on the web – it’s like a mix between Pinterest and Evernote,” the spokesperson adds.

Pearltrees describes itself as a place to collect, organize and share everything you like on the web.

“With Pearltrees on your iPhone, you have everything you like at hand, easy to retrieve and even accessible Patrice Lamothe. “But what’s really unique is how people can make great discoveries related to their interests from the millions of topics curated by the community. Add to this the ability to make your own contributions and it’s truly like having a magical library in your pocket.”

For more on the iPhone version, Robert Scoble posted the following interview/demo:

No word on when an Android version may be released. In Scoble’s interview, Lamothe does indicate that it will be coming to other phones.

iPhone users can now find Pearltrees in the App Store.
