Kindle Fire Now To Feature USA Today

USA Today has launched its app for the Kindle Fire. The tablet sold like mad over the Christmas holiday and will now seamlessly feature media-rich content provided by USA Today.

With the launch of its Kindle Fire app, USA Today is on all major platforms and devices including Android (phones and tablets), Google Chrome Web Store, iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Windows-based Tablets, and Windows Phone.

USA Today lists the following as features of the app:

* All new look and feel optimized for the Kindle Fire
* Latest Headlines from USA TODAY across News, Money, Sports, Life, YourLife, Tech and Travel
* Our beautiful Photo Galleries, including The Day in Pictures, Day in Sports and Day in Celebrities
* USA TODAY Opinion Section and Editorial Cartoon Gallery

The Kindle Fire heated up holiday wish lists, with consumers demanding the new tablet, sometimes in spite of reviewers nagging doubts about the product.

Amazon’s traditional Kindle e-readers continued to sell well with lower price tags than the Fire’s $199 premium. But the new iPad competitor had them wowed with its apps and video-playing capability.
