iPhone 5 Release Date Now Rumored to Be in September
[ Technology]

It had been rumored that the next version of Apple’s iPhone would begin production in September, making the release likely for late in the year or early next year. This was based on rumors from the supply chain.

Now, Reuters is reporting that the phones will actually ship in September according to “three people with direct knowledge of the company’s supply chain.” This would put production beginning in July or August.

According to these sources, the iPhone will have a faster processor, and will look similar to the iPhone 4.

Apple is currently in the midst of a legal battle with Samsung as the the latter company puts out products Apple feels are rip-offs of its iOS products.

There has been no shortage of rumors going around about the iPhone 5 (we don’t even know for sure that this next iPhone will actually be called the iPhone 5). Here is a round-up of some possibilities.

Last week, iOS got an upgrade, and the operating system is expected to get a major upgrade at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in June.

Estimates of iPhone sales so far this year have been all over the place, but research does show they’re incredibly popular with teenagers. Apple reports its earnings later today.

      • Really?

I expect that a lot of the iPhone 5 partakers will be iPhone 3 users and new teens as your article suggests. I bought an iPhone 4 recently so I won’t be one of them. I was tired of waiting and my 3 was so slow any more. I wouldn’t be surprised that a lot of us 3 users waited to upgrade too. I wanted the better TFT screen resolution so I could stream my DISH HD TV rather than having to limit myself to standard only. Now I only record in HD and the 720p resolution looks even better on my Galaxy Tab too.

will the 5 have games u can only play on the 5? ive become addicted to the games lol some are better than even console games (angry birds is my newest addiction)

Will this next phone from apple be flash player compatible that is the question? Because seriously the iPhone 3 & 4; the IPad 1 & 2 did not and I would have thought from the second release apple would have amended this inconvenience. And also will the the iPad 3 have HD recording and greater pixel camer than that of 3 megapixels?

It seems to me apple and the Harry potter movie series both have things in common…they like to drag things out and leave customers disappointed in their wake
