    What does that mean? Is Google discussing an investment in Verizon? Might Google be parsing its words in Clintonesque fashion by publicly declaring that they have never discussed “paying [Verizon] for carriage of Google traffic”? If Google is discussing an investment in Verizon that includes a preferential treatment of its traffic, then Google owes the NYT an apology.
