Those Google Privacy Policy changes that you’ve been seeing pop-ups about for weeks (“This stuff matters”) goes into effect today. The changes have a lot of people, including governments, up in arms concerning their legality. Despite the uproar, Google has pressed on, trying to explain away the fears as they went. Perhaps they are taking a page from Facebook’s playbook: Like it or leave it.

We took to the Twitterverse to see what is being said today about the changes. Will anyone even notice?

    It’s interesting to see all of the varying opinions. Obviously some people are taking it to the extreme threatening to never use Google products again (doubtful). While others seem to not care all that much. Obviously, these Google products aren’t “free”, you are giving up some privacy to use them. It’s just a matter of how much that bothers you or not.

    they are griping about google on a live twitter feed with all of their info, name, business, phone numbers, and other preferences, which is the exact same thing.

    it does suck, they have stripped away privacy, but if your smart, then you know what to do to protect your online identity and info.
