Today pre-orders began for the iPhone 5, and the device was sold out within hours. Although some of the carrier sites still show September 21st as the projected ship date, Apple.com’s ship time has slipped to two weeks. It appears that the iPhone 5 is on its way to being another incredibly popular launch for Apple.

The iPhone 5 boasts a bigger screen, faster processor, improved camera, and it’s both thinner and lighter. And although there are plenty of people out there excited by the new device, there are others who have called the new iPhone an unimpressive rehash. Of course, nearly every big Apple launch brings out the pro-Apple vs. anti-Apple internet feud.

And the anti-Apple crowd has taken over Google+, as the tag #iSheep is trending at number one this morning.

Let’s take a look at some of the funny images users are posting to get their point across that Apple lovers are sheep:

Apple, reinventing everything…

The next iPhone will be so tall, even Superman won't be able to jump over it….

#iSheep  is the number one trending topic on Google+. I really love this community. It's filled with tons of Android fanatics. My kinda people.

Folks, please get a life. Preferably without electricity 4 days a week. There is a whole REAL world out there…. see if you can find it.

It’s true that Apple used to be innovative, remember the original iPhone?
But seriously, the 4S has been out like 5 minutes and already it’s old hat apparently. I’m STILL using a Samsung Galaxy S1 and it does everything I need it to. It’s still quick enough too, because I haven’t filled it with a load of useless apps I’ll never use.

I like my 4 the 5 is overkill, the 4 is glitchy but has better memory than the 3.
The hype is absurd except to my 9 year old who has a 3.
That is the mentality of the issue.

Android: the next best thing for people who can’t afford the iPhone.

  • CmnSense

Ana, your comment is completely idiotic. Android is not next best or really much cheaper if you get the higher end phones. It’s for people who don’t want to be chained to Apple and “i” products forever. I’ve tried both and Android is by far superior in my opinion.

Honestly, apple has a app store in all their phones, tablets and computers but a little amount of the apps they have in the app store are free, while a large amount of apps in the Google play store are free.
