Google+ Trending Topics Launched

Google+ takes another cue from Twitter

As you’ll notice in the image below, Google+ now has trending topics, much like Twitter’s. It will be interesting to see if Google works in ads to them like Twitter does.

Google already adopted the hashtag concept made popular on Twitter, and improved that when it launched Google+ search back in October.

According to Mashable, the trending topics started rolling out last night.

If you want another way to see what’s trending on Google+, I suggest checking out plus.topsy.com.

As discussed in a recent article, Twitter, Google+ and Facebook seem to all be getting more and more alike. Is this a good thing?

  1. I think it can be a good thing, as the competition becomes more fierce it seems to benefit the end users with more features and the latest in news and developments.

    This is to be expected from Google. They have no clue on what they’re doing so their going to piece together Google+ from ideas that are already out there.
