So said to see Grant leave. For dedicated fans, he has come into our homes every Wednesday night for several years and become a welcome guest. Don’t know what percipitated his depature but hope those situations can be lessened or solved. Grant will be missed.

  2. Sherry S

It was great watching the show for 8 years with Grant,Jason and the great group of investigators. The Show is a wonderful show to watch every week. But sometimes you have to move on to other things in you & your families life.
To Grant ” All the best in your future, and God be with you and your family in everything you do.”

  3. OceanBlue

While no show on TV is perfect, it’s my opinion that of the “paranormal-type” show offerings on various networks GH cast & crew really tried to produce a show that viewers would find more believable when compared (for example) to the Travel Channel’s offering (GA). I too am sorry to see Grant’s character leave the show. He developed a down-to-earth, soft-spoken, likeable character that we could all relate to or wanted helping us – one which we believed, really cared about the “clients”. Grant’s character was EXACTLY the kind of guy we would want repairing our toilets. (I’m sure we’ve all called Roto-Router or other plumber at one time or another and were disappointed that the individual stepping out of the van was NOTHING like the character Grant created for us. LOL) As with everything in the magic world of TV, the show must go on . . . Maybe GH will be successful in writing-in a replacement in the style of Ashton Kutcher in Two and a Half Men. Perhaps, as opposed to being another Roto-Router type, the back story on Grant’s replacement could be that of a billionaire who has committed his life & fortune to helping those less fortunate who are troubled by “ghosts” in their life !!!

    • John

      WHAT????
      He’s a real person, not a character!!!!

  4. sarah

I hated to see Grant leave but I have the hope that he will return to guest investigate with the TAPS team in the future.

  5. John

It would be nice if the whole cast left, that way we would not be subjected to this drivel on tv.

    • Vicki

John, no one is forcing you to watch this show. Change the channel, but for all of us who are believers it is a great show and we will miss Grant and his dedication to the hunt.

      • candie

LOL… I so agree with you in regards to John. I really missed the original cast of the show especially Brian Harnoiah(sorry 4 d misspelled LN). He made it believable. He was afraid, messed up, & clearly human. I didn’t like the way the other cast members & fans treated him. I really don’t care if people hate me for this comment.

    • Jake

Totally agree…what a crock this, as well as the other parnormal bs shows are..always hyping something big is right around the corner, or one of the lead clowns saying something like..” OMG, what is that ?” leading into the commecial breaks, only to return to absolutely nothing. Then the guy who used to be fat at the end says the same crap..might be something here, might not…call us, we’d love to come back..bla bla bla bla bla…total waste of tv time. i’d rather watch Star Trek reruns, at least the acting and lighting is better.

      • x2 for me. Hunt for bigfoot, paranormal blah blah 4… good grief people. What’s wrong with you? It’s on the SciFi network (not NatGeo) for a reason.

        • MCrawford

Wow, finally someone post something sensible. This guy was caught faking stuff on the show. You’d think the fans of the program would be happy to be rid of this guy! Good riddance Grant!

          • Ryanbern

Stopp’ed watching this show after seeing the faking made by the show, Just lost any credibility that they had for me, Once a fake allways a fake, And anyone denying the evidence is ignoring the obvious,

    • jb9494

No one said you have to watch it!

  6. Robin

Also very sorry to find out Grant is leaving but can understand the need to devote more time to one’s personal life. He and Jay have been such a great team and a couple of great people to boot. All the best to Grant and the GH crew. I agree with Sarah — would be nice if he does a guest appearance now and then.

    • candie

They might b waiting for Jason’s daughter to finish the semester. I have a feeling she would be Jason’s new partner but not in the same capacity as Grant. Steve will be “the man” now.

  7. Sherry C

Very sorry to see Grant go, but understand things happen in your life that can’t be helped. God bless you and yours Grant. Also want to say think about guest apperances in the future just so we know how you are doing. I have watched the show from the first and have enjoyed it very much. I will coninue to watch and enjoy, it’s my favorite show of all time. Thanks for the great show to all the cast members. Keep up the good work.
    Sherry

  8. paula

I wish Grant nothing but the best of luck in his decision to move forward. I can see where he is coming from wanting to move on at this point in his life. At some time or another other people feel as though they are finished with whatever it is that they are doing or that their time is done and so they move on. Its no different with famous and rich people. they are human too!!! believe it or not…..
You will surely be missed and remembered
    Happy Trails Grant!!!!!!! :) ))
and maybe blue moon you might make a surprise appearance…maybe…
    <3

  9. Colonel Angus

I hate the show. Grant is like a giant p*ssy who does everything that awful Jason wants him to do. Shane is a giant a-hole anyway with no personality. Like an alpha gorilla with Downs. The whole show should have been cancelled long ago. Steve Gonsalves or wtf ever his name is, is the biggest effin p*ssy afraid of spiders and tries to impress anyone with a vag. What a douche.

    • TimothyF

Well it seems you are well educated with p*ssy calling. Sound a little insecure there Colonel. Go back to watching your Swamp People, fa family reunion would do you some good. If you don’t like the cast noor the show, and the batteries in your remote are dead… get of that tub of lard you call a butt and change the channel. Otherwise, shut the Hell up. Remember, it takes one to spot one.

      • you get’em Tim !!

      • candie

        Oucb… LOL..

  10. Ron

It is sad to see Grant leave it would of been better if Jason left the show because all he wants to do is debunk everything insted of getting down and investigate. And if you notice when peolpe ask to see if the place is huanted for Jason to say yes he has to see it for himself insted of believing the customer as for Steve I thought you were not to be affarid of anything.Again sorry to see you go and good luck.

    • na na na na

are you even familiar with what Taps does ron? they investigate to see what the customer claims are – they try to find explainations for the claims. Sometimes the explaination is something non paranormal! if anyone doesn’t like the show, don’t freakin watch. Grant, it’s sad to see you go.

  11. Diana

Grant we all will miss you. You have been such a good part of TAPS and Ghost Hunters. I very much appreciate that you didn’t just leave without saying anything to the many fans of Ghost Hunters & TAPS.
We wish you well in your future endeavors. And if you ever get the chance to come back please do so. I also hope that you & your family are healthy. If not please let your many fans know so we can put you in your prayers.

    • Sue

Thanks Diana, I have been thinking the same thing. His absence the case prior to the announcement, along with Jason’s surprise and all the tears from the cast, makes me fear that something out of anyone’s control. If it were business issues, everyone would have had a clue. They were genuinely shocked and emotional. Let’s pray for Grant and his family, anyway.

  12. Ziggy

Sad to see so many comments from narrow-minded people who have nothing better to do than hound others that open their eyes, hearts, and mind to what could be. Why dismiss something just because you do not believe in it. This great nation of ours was founded on the rights for everyone to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Therefore, if you do not want to believe…you have the right during your life to not watch and be happy, so give the rest of us the same respect!

Grant and the rest of the team devote a great deal of time debunking false claims and dismissing other so-called paranormal activities to get to the truth which is that there is something bigger than all of us which they try to present to the audience. Kudos to all…you were the first to truly get people to come out of the closet about their experiences which they believed would have been mocked if recounted.

  13. Dave

Personnaly, I Think Its A Mistake For Grant To Leave.

  14. Linda Farris

Grant you will be missed but I do understand and I hope one day
you will return and we will also enjoy Jason and the other guys and girls that will still come into our livingroom every Wednesday night. Good Luck to you and take care.

when ghost honters- TAPS first came on it almost didn’t look real with what was going on you make it look so easy. GOING IT TO PEOPLE’S HOMES EVERY WEEK. And helping them and not being affraid. And explaining to them what was going on in there homes to help them from being scared YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME.When i heard that Grant was leaving my heard sank.Grant you helped make taps it won’t be the same with out you. We love watching the show every week even my son loves to watch the show. FAMILY is very important to all of you. THAT’S ONE REAON WHY I LOVE IT SO MUCH. You make the show where kid’s don’t freak out over it. My son doesn’t he loves you show to. Grant our thoughts and prayers are with you.
    you will be missed

  16. Valerie

I am so sorry to hear that Grant will be leaving the show. I hope that he and his family are all in good health. Sometimes we have to take a break from the things we love to do and I guess it’s that time for Grant. Thankyou so much for everything that you have done for T.A.P.S. Grant.
I hope that the show will continue to go on and we will be seeing Jason and the rest of the crew as usual on Wednesday nights. See ya later Grant…not good bye. <3

  17. I have always like watching ghost hunters i think its an awesome show. I would like to wish grant all the best. And as for the rest maybe this might help.there have been times when we have looked up in the sky and only seen gray and wondered will we ever see blue again when so many times wev only seen gray. There is blue in the sky as we have strength within our selves to lean on. For on matter what there is light all around us even when the day looks like night. For no matter what the light will never go out if we hold it within our selves.

  18. Paula

I am so very sad, Grant is my favorite. He is honest and sweet. He will be truly missed!!! I hope he decides to come back in the future.

  19. Linda

I am so sorry to see Grant leave. I hope and pray it is not due to a medical problem We will miss you

  20. To me, that announcement seemed staged. Why take Jason outside so they can have some privacy, knowing a million or so people were watching. I think it was staged so that Grant can’t come back later with a different explanation. Why leave a sucessful show where you are making lots of money? Family issues? Maybe but if that were the case, there will be family issues regardless. I do watch on occassions and I would actually rather see Jason leave, Grant seems more genuine.

  21. Della

My family and I used to avidly watch GH for the first 2-3 seasons . . . until we stared catching them staging things. We were also turned off by the silly Kris wearing skimpy outfits. It took away from the credibility of the ‘science’ if they had to gain an audience by showing skin. There had to be something more to her quick departure than what they said. I suspect a few of the wives got together and gave her the boot for flirting with all their husbands. The same holds true now; there HAS to be more to Grant’s departure than what they’re saying. Food for thought.

    • Jules

I don’t know if Kris and Grant wee together but there is something with Kris and how quickly her role increased…

  22. Jacki

I can’t believe all the hater’s out there with all of the nasty, mean, disgusting, repulsive personal attacks on the cast members. These are nice, decent, normal, everyday people who have a passion for investigating the paranormal. Ghost Hunter’s is the most reputable, genuine, honest program that has ever been on the air. This is all quite evident in the way they conduct the investigations, question the validity of every occurance, and in the caliber of people, and institutions that hire them. So why don’t all of you hating moron’s channel some of that into something positive for a change. Grant, I wish you and your family nothing but the best. You will be sadly missed. To Jason and the rest of the cast, continue on just as you always have. None of you deserve any of the negative comments.

  23. Frank Malone

I love the show and love the cast. Having said that, I noticed that Kris Williams was once an admin type, then she became and invrstigator. Now she’s moved onto GHI as a lead investigator. Grant leaves for personal/family reasons. Was there something going on between Grant and Kris and Grant’s wife found out? Did she tell him that she would take the family and leave him if he didn’t leave the show and the company? Just wondering …

  24. Very sadden to see you go. But we understand, it has to be hard being away from your family so much. Wont be the same, its like salt and pepper, Grant and Jason they go together. But it has to be different than when you did the private investigations like the rest of us do. TV requires more of your time. You will be greatley missed by all of us at Prism Paranormal of Southern Michigan. Good luck in all you do Grant and hope to see you again.. :(

  25. sheryl

To all you negative SOBs, noone forced you to watch the show or any of the “Gho9st Shows” for that matter. Watch your Star Trek, or Reality Shows, or what ever, who cares. There are a lot of us who enjoy Ghost Hunters and will miss Grant. Whather you believe or not, there is something out there. Some of us have experienced things we can’t explain. I hope my daughter who has passed is still with us, and she’s the one pulling pranks on us sometimes. She left three little kids and I hope she would still be looking over them. So for all you skeptics, GO AWAY. NO ONE TOLD YOU TO WATCH. I LOVE THE SHOW AND WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH. By the way I am 67 years old.

  26. Karyn

I have been a huge fan since the beginning, Grant will be deeply missed. I cried watching the announcement,I can’t imagine what the team went through being told on camera like that, the show will never be the same without you. I wish you the best of luck and hope you future still contains your passion of ghosthunting. It is and always will be in your heart.

  27. I watched your show from the beginning and feel you are part of our lives . You owe us a explanation , Come on give it up on why your leaving . Think about it for a second how many supported your show and made you rich . I feel it’s an affair , even if it is , so what just open up to your fans & be truthful so people won’t think the worse.

  28. ozzzzz

Will miss grant…he is much better than Jason……think show will be cancelled in a year or so……GA is much better any way…ga use better equipment and no flash lights LOL….taps used to be good like 5 years ago….but will miss grant he was the best on the show by far…….ozzzz in kc

  29. Leesa Vance

I am surprised and sad that Grant has decided to leave the show. He always brought a quiet strength to the team. I would have liked to have met him. He will be greatly missed!

  30. Billy S

I can`t believe everyone is so sad to see grant leave, It`s only my opinion, but they need to deep six the whole show. The show is so corny it`s unbelieveabe, Jason and Grant are still trying to make viewers think they are still ‘Rotto Rooter turd wrestlers” they never mention the great big Inn they bought together with the money they have made off of this silly ass show except in one show, not to mention it`s so predictable, it`s not even entertaining. These are only my opinions.
