Facebook Timeline Now On iPhone

That didn’t take too long

Facebook made the Timeline available to all users this past week, and now more people can access it via their smartphones.

As we reported earlier in the week, Facebook said it would be rolling out the Timeline feature to iOS users in an upcoming update. They didn’t say how soon that would be, but apparently it was very soon, because they’ve started rolling the update out today.

We had wondered why they chose to go Android first, simply because they have historically rolled out new feature to iOS before Android, but other new reports indicate that the Android app has now surpassed daily active users of the iOS app, so that’s probably why.

Anyhow, more on the mobile version of the Timeline here. Here’s a screenshot:

In other mobile Facebook news, the company announced that it is shutting down Snaptu’s services. Snaptu was a mobile app developer that Facebook acquired earlier this year. They made a feature phone app for Facebook, and the team behind Snaptu will continue to work on “Facebook for Every Phone” they say. More on that here.

Mobile ads are expected to be on the way.
