Facebook Adds App Insights to Dev App

Facebook continues to make improvements for developers

Facebook has added App Insights into the Developer App. You can see them if you go to the “See All” link on the Insights section of the App Dashboard.

From there, you can see Overview, Users, Sharing, News Feed, Performance, Diagnostics, and Credits analytics.

Facebook App Insights Added to Dev App

While Insights were available from the Insights Dashboard before, it can only be helpful to have the from the Developer app as well.

Facebook has been making a lot of improvements for developers lately, particularly since the ban bot ordeal, which let to some legitimate apps getting shut down, which obviously didn’t go over too well.

Last month, Facebook updated the Developer app to enable easier settings management. They have also recently added new insights such as Credits and News Feed.

Facebook’s developer conference f8 will take place on September 22.
