The Digital Life Design conference has been rolling along in Munich for the past three days (Jan 22-24). Dozens of events, speakers and symposiums came together to offer a peek into the state of technology and the arc it will take in the months to come.

One project announced and discussed that the conference was that of pop mainstays Duran Duran. After thirty years in the business, their classic videos have found an unending life, thanks to YouTube. But, they are not resting on their past achievements.

Duran Duran’s latest album, called “All You Need Is Now”, was released as a download in December, 2010. The physical package came in March, 2011. Duran Duran is currently on a world tour supporting the album

Now, the band is adding a new layer to the experience with “Here Right Now“, an online experience.

Here Right Now is a data visualization project, based on input from fans. Through the website, fans are prompted to upload impression of their needs and views by using simple generic keywords. The result is a mosaic of interconnectedness from creative Duran Duran fans from around the globe.
