Did Facebook Copy Twitter’s iOS App?

Earlier this week, Facebook released an update for their iOS app. Version 3.5 now allows Facebook users to tag people in posts, add their location, and tool single-post privacy settings on the go.

Along with those functionality changes, it also looks a little different. Or maybe a little similar…to another app.

At least that’s what Twitter Mobile Designer Bryan Haggerty thinks. Yesterday, he sent out a couple of tweets implying that Facebook might have taken a little too much from the Twitter iOS app for their v3.5.

Did Facebook take a little too much from Twitter’s iOS app? Or is the v3.5 app simply an representation of how a social media app should logically be designed? Let us know in the comments.
