  1. I think it’s good to know that service providers have some protection. I am not a lawyer, but I am guessing this has to do with seizure of property as opposed to something along the lines of wiretapping.

    I guess they need to get the courts involved in both cases, but it still makes me uneasy to think that maybe a court order is drop in the bucket. I am not criminal with mass collections of illegal digital materials, just generally concerned. I think it’s the whole Bush era thing maybe. I Canadian though, so…
