Twitter is a wonderful place for one-liners. To be funny on the site, you’ve got to be sharp and practice economy of language. You’ve only got 140 characters to make an impression.

And what better way to wind-down the work day than with a selection of some of the day’s most entertaining tweets.

Just realized that, in “Groundhog Day,” Bill Murray also experienced a never-ending Black History Month. 2 hours ago via web · powered by @socialditto

That picture of an arrow pointing to February 29 and the words “You screw everything up” only proves there is a lack of understanding what and why Leap Day is. If there wasn’t an extra day every four years that’s when things would be screwed up. Leap Day keeps the calendar in line with the seasons. Otherwise we’d eventually spend summer holidays in a winter season. Now THAT would be screwed up. There’s a great website about Leap Year Day, and those of us born on it, leapyearday.com. I am cofounder of the Honor Society of Leap Year Day Babies. We’re not only a birthday club, we help teachers, parents and anyone else needing it, how to understand what Leap Day is and why it is. Plus, there’s some cool stuff about Leap Day people don’t realize. The info is out here if you want to know. And since it’s been happening since 46 BC (yes, 46 years BEFORE CHRIST) it’s about time we just accept it. Cause it’s going to keep happening every… four… years…

    I Leap, therefore I am,
