Are you searching for the most effective ways to reach potential clients? Have you tried launching campaigns on both social media and search? Today, many experts believe you have to maintain a presence on both just to make sure you are covering all your bases.

This great new infographic fromMGD Advertising gives us a little compare and contrast action to help us decide what will work best or if both platforms are truly necessary.

If price were no object, more coverage would always be better. For those of us who have a more limited budget, lets take a look at what they came up with:

I definitely agree that you need both SEO and social media to have a successful online brand. It’s no secret that social signals are having a huge impact on search. This isn’t a one-or-the other world and the best campaigns target customers from all angles.

Love the infographic here, and I agree that social media and search marketing as a combined effort will make for maximized Internet marketing investments. Getting started in Internet marketing might require a heavier hand in one or the other, as a business builds a brand from the ground up, or looks to improve local engagement. Eventually creating a co-existence and consistency across the channels will take patience and a bit of a budget-but it’s so worth it!
