Amazon Launches Packaging Certification Program
Amazon.com is launching a Frustration-Free Packaging certification program aimed at convincing manufacturers to provide more user-friendly packaging.
"Wrap rage is real," said Dr. Nadia Shouraboura, vice president of Global Fulfillment for Amazon. "We launched packaging feedback and we were surprised by the customer participation and response world-wide. Our customers told us they want packaging that is easier to open, and is free of wire ties and impenetrable plastic clamshells."
Amazon Now Allowing Customers To Rate Its Packaging
Last November Amazon.com announced its initiative called "Frustration-Free Packaging" aimed at reducing the amount of packaging materials and making them easier for customers to open.
Now the company has added two new features allowing customers to provide feedback on both Amazon's and manufacturer's packaging. Customers can now rate Amazon's packaging on a four-point scale ranging from "too small" to "way too big."
Amazon To Reduce Packaging Materials
Amazon.com announced Monday an initiative to reduce the amount of packaging materials some of its products are shipped in with the idea to make them easier for customers to open and to be better for the environment.
