Zsa Zsa Gabor is surprisingly still alive, following the numerous health struggles she has encountered over the past few years. On Monday night the 97-year-old's daughter Francesca Hilton died suddenly of what was likely a heart attack or a stroke. She was just 67 years old.

Francesca Hilton was the daughter of Hilton hotel founder Conrad Hilton and Zsa Zsa Gabor. She had been chatting with her publicist Edward Lozzi on Monday shortly before her death.

“We were discussing her book she was writing and a possible deal,” he said. “She had to go to the restroom. She never made it out.”

Lozzi added that Hilton's fiance performed CPR in an effort to save her life. She later died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Francesca Hilton had recently become embroiled in a long-running legal battle with her mother’s husband, Frederic von Anhalt, over control of both Zsa Zsa Gabor’s finances and her medical care. At one point, a judge ordered von Anhalt to allow Francesca Hilton to visit her 97-year-old mother.

Zsa Zsa Gabor is a Hungarian-born beauty queen and star of 1950s films including Moulin Rouge and Queen of Outer Space. She has been in poor health since being severely injured in a traffic accident back in 2002. Frederic von Anhalt reportedly said he wasn't going to tell Zsa Zsa Gabor of her daughter's passing, in order to spare her heartache.

Funeral plans for Francesca Hilton are still in the planning stages.
