  • Wendy Williams thinks One Direction should ditch Zayn Malik for good. Why? And what does it matter to the talk show host?

The topic came up for discussion on a recent episode of The Wendy Williams Show, and Williams simply voiced her opinion. Zayn Malik abandoned his One Direction band mates–Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne–and headed home to the U.K. recently, citing stress as the reason behind his departure.

“I feel as though if you can do five-part harmony, it’s just as easy to do four-part harmony,” she said of Malik. “I say kick this guy out of the group because now, that’s more money for the rest of us. We don’t have to split our money five ways.”

Now lest One Direction fans decide to plan some verbal attack on Wendy Williams, rest assure she understands Zayn Malik’s side of things, too.

“I admire him for standing in his own truth, which is that being a celebrity–particularly as a young person–it’s a lot and all he wants to do is go back and live a normal life,” Wendy Williams explained. “I appreciate people who stand in their own truths, so if this is what this guy wants, kick him out of the band.”

Of course it’s important to note that a rumor had Zayn Malik running home to the U.K. after a purported cheating scandal. He and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards are engaged, and he denies the cheating claims.

What’s your take on Wendy Williams and her very vocal opinion about One Direction and Zayn Malik? Do you think the boy band is considering ditching Zayn–or are they counting the days until he (hopefully) returns?
