  • Fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead were treated with a MAJOR, yet predictable, spoiler yesterday. An ad was posted for the limited edition season 2 blu-ray disc, to the AMC website, which inadvertently revealed a major plot point for an upcoming episode. Fans of the show can probably guess what the spoiler is, or have at least heard grumblings of it online.

SPOILERS beyond this point. Read at your own risk.

    …Okay, you’ve been warned.

AMC's spoiler filled Walking Dead advert

Here is the description that was featured on AMC’s website, which divulges a huge plot point.

This special limited edition Blu-Ray includes all 13 episodes on 4 discs, including bonus features such as: the making of the barn, an extended zombie gut scene, Shane’s last episode, full Comic Con coverage panel, comic book vs episode comparison, and more!

There you have it my friends, “Shane’s last episode“.

The spoiler filled advert prompted an AMC spokesperson to release a statement: “The post on the AMC store was completely unauthorized. The matter is currently under investigation.

It’s unclear if the show will hold true to the comic, in regards to how Shane dies. You never know, they might try to get creative with it, I personally hope not though as I like it how it was done by Kirkman.

Rumor has it the actor that plays Shane, Jon Bernthal, is up for a role in L.A. Noir, which is by former Walking Dead showrunner Frank Darabont.

Leave a comment below with your thoughts on the spoiler, and your thoughts on AMC’s major slipup.
