  • Vicki Gunvalson hasn’t said much about Brooks Ayers’ cancer since he was diagnosed in 2013, but now that it has advanced, she has finally opened up and shared her feelings about it.

“I am very sad about the recent diagnosis of Brooks’ cancer reoccurrence,” she told People in a statement.

“It really puts life in perspective and makes you realize how important health, family and friends are during this time,” she added. “Thank you for respecting his privacy and for all your thoughts and prayers for Brooks during this time.”

Vicki and Brooks have been dating on and off for over four years and have a very special bond and relationship even though they are not currently together.

Brooks was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma last year and received a lot of support from his friends and fans. He began treatment but the cancer has gotten worse and it is now in stage three. Ayers is still determined to kick it and thanked everyone for their support.

“I appreciate the prayers, support, and positive vibes from anyone who would wish to send them. Let me assure you that I am going to remain positive and continue to battle this disease vigorously with much tenacity along with seeking the appropriate medical care,” Ayers told Radar Online at the time of his diagnosis.

“Finally, please respect my family’s privacy in this matter as we walk through this challenging time. I am determined to fight this horrible disease and am surrounded by love and support from people who truly care about me,” Ayers added.

Hopefully Vicki will continue to support Brooks during his illness and hopefully he is able to beat the nasty disease.
