Vanessa Paradis had a pretty public split from Johnny Depp in 2012; the couple share two children and were together for 14 years, and news of their separation came as a shock to those who knew them. Now, Depp has confirmed that he’s been seeing his “Rum Diary” co-star Amber Heard, and Paradis was recently spotted out with a lunch date and a shocking new hairstyle.

The French singer and actress has sported long blonde hair for a while now, but perhaps the change in her relationship status prompted her to make another change. Or maybe it’s for a role. Whatever the reason, photographers went wild for the chance to snap pics of her and companion John Nollet, a celebrity hairstylist.

Depp denied rumors that the two of them were having problems before their split, saying it didn’t matter what he said.

“No matter what I say about this, people believe the opposite. I can’t say enough about it not being over,” he said.

The couple never married, but Amber Heard was seen recently sporting a giant ring on that finger and went to great efforts to hide it from photographers. If they do walk down the aisle, it will be the second marriage for Depp, although he’s had a long history of lengthy relationships (and engagements) that ended up broken.
