French model, actress, and singer Vanessa Paradis has been well-known in France for some time now. She first hit it big with her single, “Joe le taxi,” which was released when Paradis was just 14. In 1998, Paradis had the fortune of meeting the rising American actor and future icon, Johnny Depp. The two would marry that same year and eventually split in 2012 after having two children together.

News reports from the NY Post’s Page Six have revealed that Paradis has since moved on from her break-up with Johnny Depp and is now seeing French singer Benjamin Biolay. Rumors had flooded the internet about the couple’s apparent love interest for quite some time, and the couple was finally caught together earlier this month during a vacation to Corsica.

Witnesses on the island stated that the two seemed to be absorbed into one another and tried to keep to themselves: “They clearly wanted to be alone. They spent all their time at the hotel, moving only with three bodyguards and in a car with heavily tinted windows.”

Biolay is not a big-name here in the United States, but he is fairly well-known in France as a singer/songwriter and producer. In 2010, Biolay was rumored to be having an affair with Carla Bruni, the wife of then French president Nicolas Sarkozy. The news of this alleged affair blew up in the French media, leading Biolay to file a lawsuit against French news channel France 24 for violation of privacy and damage to his personal image.

Earlier this year, Biolay released a new album which featured the song “Enjoy”, a duet with Paradis.

Much like Paradis, Depp has also moved on to a new relationship. Depp is now dating his Rum Diaries co-star, Amber Heard. Depp is so infatuated with his new lover, in fact, that he purchased her a pair of $50,000 earrings this summer as a token of his appreciation.

Despite his new love interest, Depp still has nothing but good feelings for his former wife, stating, “Relationships are very difficult. Especially in the racket that I’m in because you’re constantly away or they’re away and so it’s hard. It wasn’t easy on her. It wasn’t easy on me. It wasn’t easy on the kids .?.?. [But] it doesn’t stop the fact that you care for that person, and they’re the mother of your kids .?.?. and you’re always gonna be in each other’s lives because of those kids.”
