  • Nick and Vanessa Lachey are already the proud parents of Camden John Lachey and they will soon welcome a daughter into their lives as well.

Nick took to Twitter to share the news on Tuesday.

He shared a photo of the words “It’s a girl” written in the sand while Camden ran across it.

Vanessa retweeted the announcement. Nick later posted a tweet thanking everyone for their well wishes.

Nick and Vanessa started dating in 2006 shortly after he divorced singer Jessica Simpson. Lachey and Simpson had been the stars of their own reality television show before they parted ways.

Nick and Vanessa were married in 2011. Vanessa has said that she would like to have at least three or four children and that she plans to raise them in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Nick grew up.

It seems like Nick and Vanessa prefer the simple life now that they have a family. Vanessa was even traditional in changing her name after she and Nick married. Many female celebrities keep their maiden names even after being married in order to prevent confusion and to keep their celebrity status.

Vanessa said that she preferred to do things the old fashioned way and that meant taking her husband’s name.

“I see myself as his wife first, then as a personality or name,” she said. “I love my family name, and being Vanessa Minnillo obviously is all I’ve ever known, but moving forward Nick and I are a unit, and you get married — that’s how I’ve always been — you get married, and you take your husband’s name and you have a family. And things have been good.”

What do you think of Vanessa and Nick’s baby news and their traditional lifestyle?
