  • Twitter has now officially announced that it is releasing a feature to upload photos and attach them to tweets from Twitter.com. It has been rumored that Twitter would be launching such a service, and now the company has confirmed as much. Interestingly, it is powered by PhotoBucket.

All photos will be tagged “powered by PhotoBucket,” and will link to a page that allows users to sign up or sign in to their PhotoBucket accounts via twitter to further edit, share or save photos, PhotoBucket says.

Twitter has also made some changes to its search feature. In fact, the company says it’s rolling out a “completely new version” of Twitter search.

“Not only will it deliver more relevant Tweets when you search for something or click on a trending topic, but it will also show you related photos and videos, right there on the results page. It’s never been easier to get a sense of what’s happening right now, wherever your curiosity takes you,” says Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey.

Users of the new version fo Firefox with Twitter can type a #hashtag or @username directly into the address bar to go right to a search results page or someone’s profile page.
