  • Three adults and a two-year-old boy were killed in a crash at the Oklahoma State Homecoming Parade in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Saturday. 25-year-old Adacia Chambers is in jail following the tragedy, and has thus far only been charged with DUI. Chambers drove her car at a high rate of speed into the crowd watching the parade, killing the four bystanders.

Stillwater, Oklahoma authorities have identified the three adults killed in the crash. Early on Sunday, Capt. Kyle Gibbs said 23-year-old Nakita Prabhakar of Edmond was killed in the crash. He added that 65-year-old Bonnie Jean Stone and 65-year-old Marvin Lyle Stone, both of Stillwater, also were killed.

Capt. Gibbs said another 47 people were injured in the collision, including five who remained in critical condition as of early Sunday morning.

The three aforementioned adults were pronounced dead on the scene, having been killed instantly during the crash. The two-year-old boy died at a hospital a few hours later of his injuries.

In addition to the families of those killed in such a senseless tragedy, Oklahoma State students and faculty will no doubt always remember this day with grief instead of attributing it to a fun-filled college weekend.

Hopefully those injured during the crash that killed four on Saturday make full recovers. Prayers are likely being said by people all around the country for those killed and injured, as well as for their families.
