  • A few days ago we brought you the red-band trailer for Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane’s first feature length film, Ted.

Well today the green-band trailer, otherwise known as the theatrical cut trailer, is now online. The trailer certainly does have a different feel, as the vulgarity was removed for this cut. Normally, when it comes to R-rated comedies, you can’t really beat the red-band trailers… but for some reason it feels that this trailer does more for the film. By this I simply mean that they’re not just relying on “potty humor”, but they get into the backstory of Ted, touching on how his existence came about.

The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, the voice talent of Seth MacFarlane, Joel McHale, Patrick Warburton, and Giovanni Ribisi. Check out the latest trailer for yourself below:

“Mark Wahlberg plays John, a perfectly normal Boston native whose childhood wish for his teddy bear to come to life comes true. The bear (Ted) – voiced by MacFarlane himself – remains his best friend well into his adult years. Conflict emerges when Ted’s irresponsible and vulgar slacker lifestyle comes in the way of John’s attempt to embrace his adulthood and the woman of his dreams, Lori (Mila Kunis).”

For interested parties, you can find the red-band version of the “Ted” trailer below:

Ted is slated to hit theaters on July 13th.
