CNNMoney Implements LinkedIn Widget

Let’s be honest: however content most people are with their jobs, Fortune’s "100 Best Companies to Work For" list can elicit envy.  So LinkedIn and CNNMoney may be onto something, as they’ve partnered to point people who read the list towards individuals who work at the top companies.

This marks the first implementation of LinkedIn’s Company Insider widget, which would be quite significant on its own.  It doesn’t hurt that big names like CNNMoney (which acts as the online home of Fortune) and Fortune are involved, either.

CNN Launches Free iPad App

CNN has launched a new free app for the iPad aimed at offering a more visual news experience.

 The CNN App for iPad combines images with  reporting from CNN, including text stories, blog posts, photo galleries, and live or on-demand video. Users have the ability to toggle between U.S. and international news.

 

New MySpace Coming Next Month? CNN Still Using AP Reporting?

According to Michael Arrington at TechCrunch, the new MySpace (aka: Project Futura) is coming to some users on October 15, though that is subject to change. According to his sources, it will include a lot of white space and focus on the activity stream. Sounds like another familiar social network.

CNN Reportedly Sues Man Who Gives Himself iReporter Credential

CNN is reportedly suing a man who claims to be one of its iReporters. If you’re unfamiliar with iReport, it’s CNN’s citizen journalism site. This is a destination where regular people can submit news stories, and if CNN deems them worthy, they may pick them up for mainstream coverage. One such person has been going around giving himself titles like iReporter for CNN, and the news organization evidently doesn’t like that.
